In Visual Studio<\/strong>, to change the Default View<\/strong> from Design View<\/strong> to Source View<\/strong>, or Split view<\/strong>, do the following.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the menu, go to \u201cTools\u201d<\/strong> > \u201cOptions.\u201d<\/strong> Once in options, select the \u201cHTML Designer\u201d<\/strong> Section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next, select your default view of choice, Design View, Source View, or Split view.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Click \u201cOK.\u201d<\/strong> Then restart Visual Studio<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Split View – Horizontal or Vertical<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, you can see in the above image (\u00a0Red Arrow \u2192) when in Split View you have the option to\u00a0Split Horizontally or Vertically<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • In the menu click \u201cTools\u201d > \u201cOptions\u201d<\/li>
